Aspartame  

1] Description:  White, granular or crystalline powder. 

Aspartame is most stable in the pH range of 4 – 4.5.  Stability is affected by moisture, temperature and pH.  Not stable in aqueous solution for extended periods of time.

Note: In the United States, all products containing aspartame must be labeled with the following phrase: "PHENYLKETONURICS: CONTAINS PHENYLALANINE (__) mg per (dosage unit)."
